Carolina began her photography career in 2011 with her first assignment for Lonely Planet Magazine. Over the following four years, she traveled extensively throughout Latin America, with much of her work published internationally. During this period, she became increasingly aware of the impact tourism can have on communities and cultures, which led her to use photography as a tool for awareness, connection, and positive social change.
In 2014, Carolina worked as a photojournalist in Fernando de Noronha Marine National Park, documenting environmental issues, unethical practices, and illegal activities affecting one of Brazil’s most protected regions.
In 2015, she moved to Melbourne, Australia, where she lived for five years. There, she exhibited her documentary work across the country and collaborated with brands such as Airbnb and Expedia, photographing short-stay accommodations and luxury hotels. She completed a Bachelor’s degree in Photography at Photography Studies College, Melbourne, in 2019.
Since then, Carolina has worked internationally on assignments for travel magazines and with luxury hotels, architecture studios, and wellness spas around the world.
